The following year &#8211; the last for 1.5-liter cars &#8211; it was succeeded by the RA272, which in Richie Ginther&#8217;s hands memorably took Honda&#8217;s maiden victory at the pinnacle of motorsport, before it too was superseded in the Italian GP in 1966 by the RA273 with its 3-liter engine.
